Dec. 1, 8 & 15, Monday Nights at Campbell Corridor Studio.
Hand-tinted or hand-colored black and white photographs have a charming, old fashioned feel. Did you know that you can also add color transparently using oils or acrylic paints over your own graphite or charcoal drawings? Using a process to seal your drawing under a layer of sizing allows you to paint over it without smudging or destroying your drawing. Transparent glazes can be applied subtly for an aged or dreamlike feel or more boldly for fun pops of color. It is literally the intersection between drawing and painting. The possibilities are endless!
