Beginning Abstraction
(Dec. 2025)

Dec. 4, 11 & 18,  Thursday Mornings at Campbell Corridor Studio.

Creating successful abstract art is more challenging than many people realize.  When your goal isn't to copy or stylize what you see, the choices become infinite.  Too many choices can be overwhelming because it is difficult to know where to start or how to move forward.

We will approach abstraction through exercises that begin by deconstructing existing images, manipulating and redesigning them.  These studies will help visualize a path forward and narrow down some of the many possibilities.  Explore a variety of exercises to use as a springboard for creating abstracted drawings or paintings with confidence.
