Limited palette -unlimited potential! Working within the boundaries of a limited palette will help you better understand the colors you are using.  Mixing only a few pigments can create a wide range of color options.  An extra perk is that mixing from limited colors tend to create harmonious combinations because the colors are integrated with each other.  

Rather than struggling to create the most accurate color, the focus is on creating a mood, color harmony and value relationships.  Painting the same subject with a different limited palette will affect how the painting feels. Exchanging even one color can make a tremendous difference.

Format: Lecture & demonstration, studio practice with individual feedback, and one-on-one instruction.
Level: All levels are welcome! No prior experience necessary.

Medium: Oil, acrylic, watercolor or pastels
Technique: Color mixing with a limited palette
Materials: The instructor will email the materials list before the first day of class.
