Learn to Paint with Acrylic <br/>(Apr. 2026)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paint but never knew where to start? Are you curious about acrylics as a medium? Explore different acrylic techniques and learn what acrylic paints have to offer in a safe encouraging environment.

This class introduces you to the basics of acrylic painting with practical applications in layering acrylic paint, using mediums to thin paint or adjust drying time, and brush handling techniques.  Come discover how versatile acrylic painting can be.

Meets: Saturday Afternoons, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Format: Demonstration, studio practice with one-on-one instruction.
Level: No experience necessary. All levels are welcome!

Technique: Introduction to acrylic painting techniques
Materials: The instructor will email the materials list before the first day of class. Note that painters must use drop cloths over tabletops and scrape unused paint into the trash can before cleaning brushes.
