The Art of Seeing: Glass II (Sept. 2024)

Sep. 9, 16, 23 & 30  Monday Nights at B.Marie's Atelier & Gallery.

Glass is transparent, so how do you paint it? Glass has its own colors. It also shows colors through it and reflects the colors around it. There are tricks to simplify glass so that it shows the color of objects while reflecting colors within it.

Learning to see the colors in glass objects will sharpen your ability to see the variety and subtlety in other subjects. You will be amazed at what you notice when you dedicate your time to thoughtful observation.

Offering the class in 2 parts provides options to customize your learning.  The previous class (The Art of Seeing: Glass I) is not a prerequisite for this class. If you begin now, you can choose to draw or paint from life in color or in black and white and learn a tremendous amount over 4 sessions. Those who do take the first class will have the option to continue refining their drawing, transfer their drawing and add color, or seal their drawing and thinly paint directly over the top using the drawing as a detailed underpainting.
