Format: Demonstration, lecture, & one-on-one instruction provided during hands-on practice.
Level: Beginner to Intermediate. All levels are welcome!
Medium: Encaustic
Technique: Specific to encaustic, using mixed media & collage, bonding to soft supports, post-collage sewing as both a linear element or as an attachment to other mediums.
Materials: Please wear closed-toed shoes and an apron while working in the studio. Includes the use of all encaustic equipment, tools, & consumable materials. Bring notepaper, pen, pencil, or something to take notes on, several different-sized hand-sewing needles, including one large enough for upholstery thread or waxed polyester, a pair of scissors, an X-Acto knife with a sharp blade, and any extra lightweight papers or tissues that you’d like to use.
