Drawing the Desert

Ideal for anyone who would like to explore new drawing techniques outside "on location." Learn the approach to drawing from observation, the process, and the tools needed to work outdoors using natural sunlight.

Capture landscapes & the Sonoran desert with appealing compositions that convey a sense of space or depth. Explore new & useful techniques for capturing plants, vegetation, texture & the sky.

Meets: (3) Sunday Afternoons at 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM 
Dates: Mar. 17, 24 & 31, 2019
Location: "On-Location," the instructor will email the location the week before the first session.

Instructor: Linda Chappel
Format: Demonstration, lecture, & one-on-one instruction provided during hands-on practice.
Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Medium: Graphite or Charcoal
Technique: Plein Air, Sketching & Drawing
Materials: The instructor will email the materials list prior to the first day of class.
